Holy Days. Holy Heroes. Celebrating Catholic Feasts and Saints.
The saints, examples of this joy, have become a main source of inspiration for my writing. One of my mottos comes from Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI: “To me art and the saints are the greatest apologetics for our faith.”
Beauty is fundamental to faith and to the perception of truth: it is the finest expression of faith, hope, and love. By celebrating Catholic feasts, their beauty can deepen your experience of these special occasions, and by contemplating the saints in art, these helpful companions can draw close to you and enrich your spiritual life.
I am a management consultant who has worked as development director and served as board member for several Catholic organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Recently, I moved to Birmingham Alabama to work as the major gifts officer for EWTN. I earned my MBA in finance from U.C. Berkeley and my MA in theology from Dominican School of Theology and Philosophy in Berkeley, specializing in systematic theology and religious art history. I’m a native San Franciscan, almost-lifelong Bay Area resident, world traveler (33 states, 28 countries, and counting), and doting aunt of twins.
“To be saints is not a privilege for a few, but a vocation for everyone.”Pope Francis
